the Event |
This year's event will take place on September 27, 2008 in
conjunction with the Barron Fall Fest and Tour De Color.
Our first nine Run/Walks have been enormously successful; raising
over $230,000 to directly benefit the BACC and enrich the quality
of life for Barron Area Residents.
This year's entry fees are as follows: Half-Marathon- $25
registration fee,$30 on Day of Event.
5K Run Walk- $15 registration fee, $20 Day of Event.
Entry fee includes: Short sleeve T-shirt, a post-race brunch, use
of aquamassage, child care and full use of the BACC facilities including showers,
pools and sauna. |

Times |
| Start times are: Half-Marathon
7:30 & 5K 8:00. Please join us for a Post-Race Brunch beginning
at 8:30 including pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, fruit,
orange juice, applesauce and toast. |
| Awards |
|
Awards will be given to the top three finishers of each category -
Half-marathon and 5k runs in both male and female divisions. Custom
made pottery plates will be awarded to the first place winners in
the Half-Marathon and 5k. $50 in prize money will be awarded to the
top female and male finisher in the Half-Marathon. $300 bonus for
a new Lyndon Ellefson Half-Marathon Record. |

| Your
race packet includes a t-shirt, a post race brunch, and a variety
of gifts. If you are pre-registered you may pick up your packet
at our pre-registration booth located in the BACC gymnasium |
| The
Course |
| The
course starts and ends at the Barron Area Community Center. This
is a beautiful course located along the Barron County Countryside.
This course is hilly and is a great training run for upcoming fall
marathons. |
| After
the Race |
| After
the race stick around for a variety of great activities planned.
All participants have free access to the BACC facilities which include
showers, swimming pool and whirlpool. We will also have a Post-Race
Brunch beginning at 8:30 including pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages,
ham, fruit, orange juice, applesauce and toast. |
